< Home < Tips Area < Grips < Shaping < General I just used some of that Drywall Die Cut Sandpaper 120 grit and this stuff is amazing on bamboo. (Geremy Hebert) If the sand paper you are using is sanding screen. Be careful with splinters on the edge of your strips. That screen will catch the little splinter and ruin your strip. Don't ask me how I know. (Olaf Borge) ...and that little splinter will live in your finger for the next 3 years at least. (Stephen Dugmore) I don't know about the rest of you guys, but one of the BEST ancillary "tools" I bought for cane work was a small very pointy tweezers with an attached magnifying glass. It looks almost like a Rube Goldberg joke, but believe me, it's worth its weight in diamonds waaaaay more often than I wish! I've seen 'em for 69 cents up through about $6 and any one of them is a wonderful friend to have in splinter surroundings! Some have pre-focused glass, and some you can move it around. Both are great. (Art Port) |
