Another glue that I haven't seen mentioned is Casco-Resin® 5H with Cascoset® FM-96A. I use it but won't recommend it because of the potential health issues involved. It is similar to UF-109 (in Canada) in that it has a resin glue and a powdered catalyst. The glue has a shelf life of about one year and costs me $15 for 1.35 litre (about 1.4 US quart). It has a working time of about 10-20 minutes (depending on ratio of mix), and sets up hard. It is manufactured or supplied by: Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc. I buy mine from Coast Fibre-Tek on Boundary Road in Burnaby, BC. As with most of the glues that bamboo rodmakers use, recommended breathing apparatus and eye protection should be used at all times.
