My name is Bruce Morton and I'm in St. Louis, MO. I started making rods about a year and a half ago and I'm currently finishing out my 4th rod, a Dickerson 8013.

My first three rods were one-piecers: a Thramer 444 and a couple of Smithwick Small Stream rods stretched to 6 foot length. (Don't ask what happened to the first Smithwick. I liked the action so much I decided to build it again for rod #3)

These are all my "Pre Fire" series and I plan to make a few more before I set the shop ablaze. My goal is to dramatically increase the value of these first rods. Be on the look out for these rare Pre Fire examples of my craftsmanship.

I fish primarily in Missouri for Trout and Smallmouth. The Meramec and Current Rivers are home waters for me.

If it matters I'm 58 years old...two adult children, three grand children and two rapidly aging ex-wives.

Also, I work part-time in the Fly Shop at one of the local "big box" retailers here. I've been doing that for about three years now. I get to meet a lot of great folks and many have become "fishing buddies".
