So, you have all been regaled with band saw tales over the summer. So now that it runs, I decided to use it, which entailed reinstalling the official Delta rip fence that came with. I know, I know, that fence is stupid because it can't be adjusted for blade drift, but I thought I would try it anyway. Turns out there was a problem. The original owner got one of the bolts that holds it to the table cross threaded.  I went to remove the fence a while back, and the bolt broke. So tonight I drilled it, inserted and easy out, and then that broke. Flush with bolt face. I spent much of the evening heating, drilling, poking, tapping, hammering, etc. This went on for hours until my daughter pointed out that there were identical holes on the back side of the table and the rip fence could be mounted from that side with no change in function, and it wouldn't be in the way for the typical curved cuts that I usually make. Please note that this is NOT the daughter that is majoring in engineering at The University of Michigan. This the one in high school.

Yes, Jeff, don't they just get right up your nose when they do that kind of thing!!  (Peter McKean)
