I've been reading this list since early 2009. I've asked the odd question and had helpful replies. But since many of you are keen on introductions - I guess that's reasonable - I begin by saying I live in Sydney, I'm 50 years old and have made 5 rods. I've seen many of the rods made by list members on various internet pages and find them a source of inspiration. Many of you do some great looking work!

I post on various on-line fly & rod forums - such a helpful medium - as "Boris" or "Boris L". I've had many varying interests in my short life but I think making bamboo rods suits me pretty well since I enjoy making things with my hands and learning in the process. I've had some help from a bunch of other Aussie blokes - some of whom post on this list.
